Skirting

Skirting is the material used to enclose the sides of a deck. Typically skirting is seen on ground floor deck projects and is used to aesthetically fill the gap between the main deck structure and the ground. A range of different materials can be used for skirting, popular options include a lattice material or decking composite.

The Green Shield Difference

Green Shield is doing away with lattice skirting on our decks. Instead Green Shield offers homeowners composite board skirting. By using composite skirting it makes sure that your skirting will match the rest of your deck and won’t wave or buckle over the years. Because our crews are trained on the Green Shield process and composite boards, it allows us to offer the lifetime warranty our decks are known for.

"Composite skirting is the way to go for homeowners looking to bring an aesthetic finish to their ground level deck. Green Shield composite skirting offers a perfect color match to your deck boards and is included in our lifetime warranty"
