Wood Free deck boards refers to composite, PVC, or mineral based products that do not use wood-filler. Using wood free deck boards can significantly increase the lifespan of your deck. Wood is susceptible to moisture leading to rot, mildew, and fungi growth. Many of the leading brands use wood-filler in their deck boards to cut costs. Over the lifetime of the deck many homeowners end up paying more to upkeep a wood-filler deck board than the difference in cost to install wood free deck boards at the start of a project.
