Description

Green Shield believes that a forever deck requires a foundation that refuses to rot. While many leading brands use boards that are uncapped on the bottom—leaving them vulnerable to moisture—Green Shield composite boards are fully capped, including within the grooves.

The Engineering Difference:

  • Wood-Free Construction: Green Shield utilizes a premier mixture of rice husks and EPL resin. Because there is no wood filler, these boards are engineered to never rot or decay.
  • Heat-Blocking Technology: To ensure comfort in direct sunlight, Green Shield integrates proprietary technology that keeps the surface cooler than traditional composites.
  • A Hardworking Backbone: Featuring a reversible design and a grooved profile for hidden fasteners, these boards provide a sleek, screw-free surface without compromising structural integrity.

Our team brings the design center directly to your property. With six standard and eight special-order colors, Green Shield provides a "showroom to you" service, allowing homeowners to match samples against their siding and existing space. Visit the Green Shield website to schedule a free 20-point safety inspection and see how smarter engineering creates a reliably engineered reality.

Hi. My name is Adam Rought, founder and CEO of Green Shield Deck Builders. Today, I wanna talk to you guys about composite decking and how Green Shield is changing the game in composite decking on what we're offering. So to start us off, what is composite? Composite is essentially a mixture of two different materials to make up a deck board. Could have PVC in it, could have HDPE, could be any number of different plastics that they wanna put in there. A typical board that you're gonna find in the marketplace, this is the number one board in America. This one doesn't have a lot of different color variation, although you can get that from pretty much any any company. It doesn't have a groove. And then you could see that the the top cap is brown and it kinda wraps around the deck board, but the bottom is uncapped. Green Shield doesn't doesn't like uncapped boards because it actually allows moisture to penetrate the bottom of the board. So right here we've got Green Shield's decking. The Green Shield decking is a six color option deck board that you could see has capping on both sides. So that's a key difference. It's actually reversible. Gives the homeowner the ability to flip. You could see how our board has a groove built into it. This groove allows us to put a hidden fastener, so that way there's no screws in the top of the deck board. You can actually see the wood fibers in this. You really don't want wood in your deck board. Green Shield's got a wood free. We use a rice husk EPL resin to make our deck board, so it's super strong. It's also capped all the way around. Even in the groove has a cap, which is a really cool way for us to keep as much of that water out of the board as possible. One of the other differences with a standard composite deck, it's gonna get very hot in the summer. So what Green Shield does to mitigate that is actually have a heat blocking coating that actually keeps the deck much cooler than the vast majority of deck boards in the marketplace. Green Shield has six regular colors. We've also got eight other special order colors. The best thing to do, have us come out to your home and look at these colors right next to your siding. We'll put them right on your deck, and that's really how you can get a good feel for how your deck is gonna look in your backyard. If you'd like to have us out for a free deck design today, we'll bring the showroom to you. You can see all the colors in your home and against your siding. Give us a call today or go to green shield deck builders dot com and fill out our form. It's a free, no obligation deck design.
