This added stability means that your stair tread will remain solid for the lifetime of the deck. Our stair tread comes in multiple depths including standard and deep step. Deep steps are a great upgrade for any deck providing 50% more tread depth.
Stair Tread
Stair Tread is the horizontal portion of the step that you stand on. Residential building codes require a minimum stair tread depth of 10 inches with additional depth adding more comfort for homeowners. When building a deck it is also important to consider how slippery your stair treads will be. Many traditional wood products can become slick when wet increasing risks for slips and falls.
