Feature Board (Breaker Board, Transition Board)

A feature board runs down the center of your deck perpendicular to the main deck boards helping secure spans. Feature boards can improve the visual appearance of a deck by reducing the number of butt joints needed. A feature board can also offer structural benefits helping a deck remain flat during periods of expansion and contraction.
